Verification evaluates whether the emission reductions or removals reported by a project have been achieved in accordance with programme rules.
Activities may include:
• review of monitoring reports
• data and calculation checks
• sampling of supporting evidence
• geospatial and remote sensing analysis
• on-site verification visits -
Silvacert offers pre-validation readiness reviews to help project developers and communities prepare for formal validation.
Pre-validation readiness reviews are advisory assessments and do not constitute validation. Silvacert ensures that personnel involved in readiness reviews do not participate in subsequent validation or verification of the same project to maintain impartiality.
Silvacert does not provide consultancy services related to the design or implementation of projects that it validates or verifies, in order to maintain independence and impartiality.
